The White House has said that Iran continues to engage in intensive communication with the United States and is showing strong interest in reaching a new agreement between the two countries.
During a press briefing on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Tehran remains highly active in dialogue with Washington.
“Iran continues to speak a lot with the United States and expresses that it wants to make a deal with us because it is suffering devastating strikes from our military,” Leavitt said.
According to Leavitt, U.S. pressure through military actions and economic measures has pushed Iran toward seeking a negotiated solution.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, as both sides continue contacts aimed at preventing further escalation of the conflict.
U.S. officials argue that their pressure campaign against Iran is producing results and that Tehran is showing greater willingness to pursue a diplomatic agreement.
