The Commander of the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR), Major General Özkan Ulutaş, accompanied by KFOR Deputy Commander Brigadier General Federico Collina, met with Kosovo Police Director General Colonel Gazmend Hoxha at Police Headquarters in Prishtina to reaffirm the strong partnership between KFOR and the Kosovo Police.
During the meeting, the officials reviewed ongoing cooperation in the field of security and discussed coordinated activities aimed at maintaining stability across Kosovo. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued close coordination and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation.
Major General Ulutaş stressed that KFOR remains fully committed to working closely with Kosovo’s institutions to ensure a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo in a transparent and impartial manner.
KFOR also reiterated that it continues to carry out its mandate under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), contributing to a safe and secure environment and ensuring freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo.
According to KFOR, the mission continues to coordinate closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective roles as security responders.
