China has warned of retaliatory measures against the United States following new U.S. sanctions targeting Chinese humanoid robotics companies, imposed as part of efforts to combat forced labor and protect national security.

China’s Ministry of Commerce said the U.S. measures “seriously undermine China’s legitimate rights and interests.”

According to Beijing, its response could include tightening export controls on drones, drone components, and key technologies destined for the United States.

The development comes as technological and trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies continue to escalate, with particular focus on strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, and dual-use technologies with both civilian and military applications.
