A document described as the so-called “New Sarajevo Chetnik Detachment” allegedly links a number of individuals from the former Yugoslav security structures to claims surrounding so-called “human safaris” during the siege of Sarajevo.
According to the document, individuals associated with the KOS and State Security (DB) structures—including Milan Damjanović, his associate Slaviša Kunarac, and Ljuban Ećim—are allegedly connected to activities involving foreign visitors and sniper positions during the siege.
The document also makes allegations concerning Fahrudin Radončić, claiming that a connection existed through Milica Kunarac, described in the document as his former lover and protégée, to her father, who is alleged to have participated in the purported “human safaris.”
Most significantly, the document allegedly connects these individuals with Aleksandar Vučić, claiming that he acted as a guide for German official Bernd Schmidbauer and accompanied him during visits to sniper positions in Sarajevo.
The document further alleges that the individuals allegedly involved in these activities were accompanying Schmidbauer during his visits.
These are serious allegations concerning events during one of the most traumatic periods of the Bosnian War. The claims contained in the document should therefore be distinguished from independently established facts, and any allegations of criminal conduct would require corroboration through reliable documentary evidence, witness testimony, and competent judicial or investigative findings.
The alleged links described in the document raise questions about the identities and activities of people connected to Serbian security structures and political circles during the siege of Sarajevo, as well as the movements of foreign officials who visited the city during the war.
Any definitive assessment of the allegations would require examination of the original document, its provenance and authenticity, contemporary records, and independent evidence capable of confirming or disproving the claims.
