The defender of the accused Dragisha Marković, lawyer Dejan Vasić, was fined 350 euros after he sent the intern of his office, Goran Mitrović, to represent him in the last session.
Because the lawyer Vasić had authorized the intern of his office, Goran Mitrović, to represent him in the session of June 12, 2024, the trial for the murder of the Serbian politician, Oliver Ivanović, was interrupted.
Therefore, in Thursday’s session, the lawyer Vasiq apologized in advance and admitted the mistake he made.
“Dear judge, I made a mistake yesterday. I have thought that the criminal offense is punishable up to 5 years and my intern was able to replace me. But, I accept that he could not replace me in yesterday’s session and it is exclusively my fault that yesterday’s session failed. I will accept the court’s decision without any kind of complaint”, said Vasiq.
Then, the judge of the case, Valon Kurtaj, imposed a fine of 350 euros.
Also, the trial panel issued a warning to the defender of the accused Silvana Arsović, lawyer Musa Damati, because he appeared late at the hearing. Lawyer Damati justified the delay by saying that it was not intentional and that there was a case in the family and the cause of the traffic.

In this case, Marko Rošić, Nedelkjo Spasojević, Dragisha Marković, Zharko Jovanović, Silvana Arsović and Rade Basara are accused of being involved in the murder of Ivanović, which happened in January 2018.
The initial hearing was held on February 11, 2020, while the Basic Court in Pristina, on April 6, 2020, rejected the requests for the dismissal of the indictment of December 27, 2019 and the objections to the evidence.
After the appeals of the four lawyers, the Court of Appeals had approved their appeals and the case was reinstated and the Foundation was asked to eliminate the contradictions, giving the prosecutor the opportunity to plead or to correct and complete the indictment in order to be in accordance with Article 241 of the KPPRK.
Then, on November 10, 2020, the Special Prosecution drew up the indictment, according to which, Nedeljko Spasojevic, Marko Rosic, Rade Basara and Silvana Arsovic are charged with having committed the criminal offense of “Participation and organization of an organized criminal group” from Article 283, par .3 related to par.1 of the Criminal Code, related to the criminal offense “Aggravated murder” from article 179, par.1.9 of the Criminal Code and the criminal offense “Misuse of official position or authority” from article 422, par.2, subpar. 2.2 related to par.1 of the Criminal Code.
According to the indictment, the accused Nedejklo Spasojevic, Marko Rosic, Rade Basara and Silvana Arsovic are accused of acting as a criminal group in cooperation with the defendants Zheiko Bojic, Zvonko Veselinovic and Milan Radoicic, who are on the run and two other unknown defendants. in order to extend the control in the northern part of Mitrovica, both in the political and economic life and the general activity of the organized criminal group, they acted with intent and knowledge to commit the criminal offense of aggravated murder, where each of the defendants on the day critical when the murder of the now deceased Oliver Ivanovic took place, they carried out concrete incriminating actions for the purpose of the group in question, in which case as a result of the actions of this organized criminal group, the murder of the now deceased Ivanovic took place.
The accused Dragisha Marković is accused of “Disclosure of official secrecy” from article 433, par. 2.1 of the Criminal Code. Marković, along with Zharko Jovanović, are also accused of “Misuse of official duty in co-perpetration” from article 422, par.1 related to par.2, subpar. 2.2 related to Article 31 of the Criminal Code.
Also, the accused Jovanovic is also charged with the criminal offense of “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons” from article 374, par.1 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, the accused Nedeljko Spasojevic is also charged with the criminal offense of “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons” from article 374, par. 2 related to par. 1 of the Criminal Code.
