The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said that the Albanians from Kosovo who represent Albania in football “are not naturalized”.
Rama said that “one state is not enough for us, we need two states”. Thus, if we have two national teams in football, “better for us because there is more room for the players to play”, he said in an interview for Klan Kosova.
He said that “there is no need to make such dramas, why someone from Kosovo came to play in Albania or why someone came from Albania to play with Kosovo”.
“This is the most normal thing in the world and thank you for this opportunity, because you have seen that there are much bigger national teams than ours, and they take them from Brazil and Africa. Those who come from Kosovo are not naturalized Albanians, they are Albanians”, said Rama.
Success in football, the Albanian Prime Minister said that “football is a bit of a matter of luck in the end”.
“So with a bit of luck it could be both sides, but it could also be Kosovo and not us”, he said.
