A person suspected of involvement in war crimes against civilians in Kosovo in 1999 was detained on October 25 at the Merdare border crossing.
According to the police report, the suspect, a Kosovo citizen, is suspected of involvement in a war crimes case linked to Prishtina in 1999.
“Prihstina / 1999. On October 25, 2026, a Kosovo national suspected of involvement in the aforementioned criminal offense was detained at the Merdare Border Crossing. Following questioning, the suspect was released under regular legal procedure by order of the prosecutor,” the police report stated.
