Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has warned the United States and Israel that Tehran will determine the timing and conditions for ending the conflict if attacks against Iran resume.

In a statement broadcast by Iranian state media, Khamenei said that, in the event of renewed military or terrorist attacks, the response would be in the hands of Iran’s armed forces and its people.

“It is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the timing and conditions for bringing them to an end,” he declared.

The statement followed a meeting with senior military officials, during which Khamenei urged commanders to ensure an immediate and effective response to any potential threat, without geographical restrictions.

He also ordered an update of the target list to ensure that American and Israeli assets fall within the operational reach of Iranian forces.

Earlier, Iranian army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia warned that a new war would extend across a much wider geographical area if US President Donald Trump launched another military operation in the region in coordination with Israel.

Tensions in the Middle East have remained high since February 28, when the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran, prompting Iranian retaliatory attacks across the region.

Despite diplomatic efforts and a memorandum signed in June, disagreements over regional security and navigation through the Strait of Hormuz remain unresolved.
