The Basic Court in Pristina – Special Department, has decided regarding the request of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, to determine the measure of detention against the defendant Aleksandër Vlajić, due to the well-founded suspicion that he has committed the criminal offenses of ‘Espionage’ and ‘Holding in unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons’.
The judge of the preliminary procedure has approved as well-founded the request of the Prosecution for the assignment of the measure of detention and this measure has been assigned to him for a duration of one (1) month.
The announcement states that “The Court estimates that the conditions for the appointment of detention have been met, because if the defendant A.V is released, he may be unavailable for criminal proceedings, there is a risk of his escape, since he is also a citizen of Sebia and in this way can hinder the course of the criminal procedure.”
Against this decision, the dissatisfied parties have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeal, through the Basic Court in Pristina.
