The spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, has said that the Police is looking for people who have pasted posters with the image of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić with the message “Supreme Commander, we are waiting for you” in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
He said that a case was filed at the Prosecutor’s Office due to the “spread of hatred”.
“In certain locations of four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, posters with the photo of the president of Serbia have appeared. After consultation with the state prosecutor, a case was opened for spreading hatred. We have no suspects, the police are working to investigate the case”, said Elshani.
In the four northern municipalities – Leposaviq, Severna Mitrovica, Zubin Potok and Zveçan, posters have been placed in buildings, houses, bars and public spaces.
On the posters is a picture of President Vučić next to a machine of the Serbian Army, followed by the message: “Supreme Commander, we are waiting for you”.
