The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, announced that the decision has been made to reopen the Merdare and Bërnjak border points.

Sveçla stated that this decision came after the removal of blockades set up by masked Serbian extremists.

“Order and law, peace and security, at every corner and on every border of our Republic,” Sveçla wrote, as reported by Bota sot.

After receiving reports that the blockades set up by masked extremists in Serbian territory have now been removed and seeing that there are no obstacles for movement to and from the border points of the Republic of Kosovo, we have made the decision to reopen the Merdare and Bërnjak border points for circulation.

Order and law, peace and security, at every corner and on every border of our Republic.
