The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced in a post on Facebook that seven months after the beginning of the scheme, up to August 30, 263 people have been mediated and supported for employment in the four northern municipalities, while 428 job vacancies have also been declared.

“The 1.8 ‘Government for Families’ measure was initially introduced in July 2022, for which €10 million was allocated. Meanwhile, in February of this year, through this scheme, a special measure was launched to support employment for our citizens in the four northern municipalities. Subsidization was set at 70% of the gross salary for the first six months, up to a maximum of €350, and this applies to 2,000 job positions. Seven months after the start of the scheme, up to August 30, we have mediated and supported the employment of 263 people in the four northern municipalities, while 428 job vacancies have been declared,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.

According to him, more employment means more welfare and more integration and interaction between communities.

“I encourage you to apply at the Employment Offices in the four northern municipalities and to take advantage of every opportunity presented in your field of work. The Republic of Kosovo is a state for everyone,” he said.
