The Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment in the Basic Court in Pristina – Special Department, against an individual for committing the criminal offenses of “Assault on a Public Official” and “Participation in a Crowd Committing a Criminal Offense and Hooliganism,” reports RKS.news.
The accused, M.D., is charged with these criminal acts related to the attacks on KFOR in May of last year.
According to the indictment, “the defendant on May 29, 2023, near the Municipal building of Zvečan, in coordination with other defendants of Serbian nationality from Kosovo and Serbia, used violence to attack and seriously threaten the soldiers of the KFOR peacekeeping mission, as well as several members of the Kosovo Police.”
The State Prosecutor from the Special Prosecutor’s Office has requested that the Court declare the defendant guilty and continue the detention until the conclusion of this criminal case.
