The World Bank is committed to assisting in the repair of the damages caused to the Ibër-Lepenc canal following a recent terrorist attack.
This statement was made by Antonella Bassani, the World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, during a meeting in the United States with Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi.
Bassani expressed her regret over the incident that occurred on November 29 and praised the continued collaboration between Kosovo and the World Bank, highlighting the positive developments in recent years.
“Both sides emphasized that Kosovo has made significant progress in recent years, leading with reforms and economic growth in the region,” the statement reads.
Additionally, the meeting discussed the implementation of development projects funded by the World Bank, as well as those currently in the approval process.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the World Bank for its ongoing support and cooperation with Kosovo, further reinforcing the strong partnership between the two entities.
