Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met with U.S. Senator Thom Tillis in Washington, D.C., as part of her visit to engage with lawmakers in both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
During their meeting, President Osmani and Senator Tillis discussed recent developments in Kosovo and the Western Balkans, focusing on the region’s security situation and the importance of continued cooperation to maintain peace and stability.
“Peace and sustained security are preconditions for prosperity and development. The United States has been, and remains, committed to helping preserve and advance these values in Kosovo,” Osmani wrote in a statement following the meeting.
Osmani’s visit will continue in Rhode Island, where she is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the 11th Annual Symposium of the United States Naval War College.
