Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, shared a report from Amnesty International criticizing Serbia for the mass surveillance of its citizens.

The report states that the Serbian government has used technology to spy on journalists, activists, and political opponents.

Minister Gërvalla-Schwarz compared Serbia to Russia and China, highlighting the special ties between Aleksandar Vučić’s regime and these countries.

She also called on the West to “wake up before it is too late.”

Also, for weeks, thousands of protesters have filled the streets of Serbia, demanding accountability from Vučić’s regime, including for the death of 15 people in the collapse of the roof at the Novi Sad railway station.
