Kosova’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated that 2024 has been the year of the country’s passport.
In a post on Facebook, Kurti emphasized that Kosova’s passport ranks higher than ever in international passport indexes.
“2024 is the year of our passport. It is ranked among the top 10 most improved passports in the world in the last decade, and with it, we can travel to 38 more countries than we could last year,” wrote Kurti.
The head of the government further noted that Kosova citizens now move freely and without discrimination.
“Our citizens now travel freely and without discrimination, no longer having to wait in front of embassy doors to obtain short-term visas for travel to many countries. With visa liberalization and recognition of our passport by non-recognizing states, we are bringing Kosova closer to Europe and beyond.”
