More than 3,000 members of the Kosovo Police (KP) have undergone systematic medical examinations, while over 2,100 psychological assessments have been conducted for new recruits. These services are part of a cooperation agreement between the KP and the Kosovo Clinical and University Hospital Service (KCUHS) to provide medical and psychological services to police personnel and recruits.

Key Highlights from the Joint Media Conference

At a joint press conference between the Kosovo Police and KCUHS, officials emphasized that specialist medical services offered under the agreement have significantly contributed to the health and well-being of all KP employees.

Osman Hajdari, Director of the Kosovo University Clinical Center, expressed readiness to continue providing these services in the coming years and to further enhance their quality.

Lendita Kajtazi, Director of the Health Services Department within the Kosovo Police, praised the agreement as successful, noting that, alongside systematic medical checks, periodic health screenings have been carried out for members of the Specialized Units.

Numbers and Priorities

During the conference, it was highlighted:

  • Over 3,000 KP members have benefited from systematic health checks.
  • More than 2,100 psychological evaluations have been conducted for recruits.
  • Specialized police units have received periodic medical tests.

Hajdari assured that security system personnel are treated as a priority, with waiting lists bypassed for such cases.

The cooperation agreement between the Kosovo Police and KCUHS, signed in November 2023, aims to provide ongoing medical and psychological services to police personnel and new recruits, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
