President Vjosa Osmani, upon the proposal of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, has appointed twenty-four new prosecutors, nearly half of whom are women, reports RKS NEWS.
During the swearing-in ceremony before the President of the Republic, the new prosecutors pledged to “remain loyal to the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the applicable laws, and to uphold professional ethical standards.”
In her remarks, President Osmani emphasized the importance of integrity, independence, impartiality, and professionalism as essential elements for a system that guarantees justice for all citizens of Kosovo. She also called on the new prosecutors to have no compromise when it comes to fighting crime and corruption.
