A severe accident resulting in the death of two pedestrians occurred on the Mjedë-Bushat road in Vau i Dejës, Albania.
A vehicle left the road and ended up in a ditch, hitting two pedestrians, Ndrue and Ndrekë Prenga, who were nephew and uncle.
“At around 5:00 PM, in the village of Mjedë, citizen G.B., while driving a ‘Mercedes Benz’ vehicle, lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the road and hit two pedestrians. Citizen N.P., 63 years old, died at the scene, and citizen N.P., 43 years old, passed away while being transported to the hospital,” the police reported.
“The driver of the vehicle, citizen G.B., was also injured in the crash and is currently in the hospital receiving medical treatment. He is under police custody, and after receiving medical care, he will be taken to the police station for further action,” the police statement added.
