The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has reacted following today’s police operation in the north of the country, which resulted in the closure of the Serbian Tax Administration that had been operating illegally.
Sveçla stated that the authorities will continue to fight any criminal parallel structures of Serbia.
He emphasized that this institution had been collecting funds illegally from citizens and entities living and operating in the Republic of Kosovo.
“Extortion is condemnable and strictly prohibited for anyone who engages in it. In this case, it was carried out by criminal groups loyal to the aggressive Serbian state and figures such as Vladimir Putin,” Sveçla wrote.
