I have been deeply interested in the history of Kosovo over the past 30 years.
On January 23, 2025, former OSCE Ambassador to Kosovo, Walker, visited the “Reporting House” exhibition in Pristina, which features videos, interviews, and numerous testimonies from the recent war in Kosovo.
Walker was thoroughly informed about the exhibition’s content, which includes various testimonies, protests from the resistance of the 1990s, photographs, and artifacts displayed at the former House of Goods in the center of Pristina.
“I am very impressed, first of all, that this museum exists. And it’s not really a museum; it’s a journey through Kosovo’s recent history. I’ve learned so much in just these 45 minutes about some things I should have known earlier. I have been very interested in the history of Kosovo over the last 30 years and thought I knew a lot, but almost everything that has been told to me in these 45 minutes is new to me.”
“The connections between what happened here and what happened in Bosnia are things I had never heard before. So, the fact that this museum was created and organized in this way is very impressive to me. Very impressive. And, as I told the director, I have a daughter who is engaged in creating a museum to display information that people may not have heard before. This is an extremely positive way to show Kosovars of all ages and ethnicities what has happened here over the past decades,” he told EO.
