Kurti Meets US Security Coordinator for Israel and Palestine

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, met with US Lieutenant General Michael Fenzel, the United States Security Coordinator for Israel and Palestine.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), Kurti briefed Lieutenant General Fenzel on Kosovo’s economic progress over the past four years, reforms in the rule of law, and advancements in civil and political rights.

The meeting also addressed defense investments, including the acquisition of Javelin anti-tank missile systems and Black Hawk helicopters. The Prime Minister emphasized the special partnership with the United States and its irreplaceable role in Kosovo’s development and security.

Additionally, military cooperation was highlighted, including Kosovo’s joint deployment with US troops in Kuwait and its participation as a host country in the Defender Europe 25 exercise. The humanitarian aspect was also discussed, with Kosovo’s recent contribution of €500,000 in humanitarian aid for Gaza.

Discussions also covered Kosovo’s potential involvement and contributions to US-led and jointly coordinated initiatives.
