The Government of Kosovo held a solemn session marking the 27th anniversary of the Epopee of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).
During the session, Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasized that the Epopee defined Kosovo’s history and that the names Shaban, Adem, and Hamzë Jashari have become absolute symbols of national identity and freedom.
🔹 “The UÇK Epopee has only one address – freedom from the Serbian occupier – and only one horizon – our unity,” Kurti stated.
🔹 He stressed that any compromise on the Epopee’s ideals is a compromise with Kosovo’s sovereignty and freedom.
🔹 Kurti warned that narrowing political focus to specific regions or misappropriating the war’s legacy corrupts the essence of the UÇK struggle.
Kurti also stated that Prekaz belongs not only to Kosovo but to all Albanians and freedom-loving nations worldwide, underlining the universal significance of its sacrifice.
