On Wednesday evening, the book “A Kosovar Like Radomir – Radomir Dimiq, a Collection of Writings” was launched, reports Ekonomia Online. Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated that this book is a testament to courage, truth, and the indomitable spirit of the human being.

“It is a testament to courage, truth, and the indomitable spirit of the human being. A Kosovar Like Radomir is a narrative of the past, an honest reflection of reality, and a powerful call for the future. Radomir Dimiq was a prominent name in politics and journalism, but also a man who dared to challenge the narratives of the time, raise his voice, and view Kosovo with open eyes and heart. This book compiles his writings, his opinions and beliefs, his commitment, and his battle for justice, freedom, and reconciliation. Radomir understood that truth is often hard to accept, but without it, reconciliation is impossible. He realized that the future of a society cannot be built on the denial of ethnic divides. He rejected Belgrade’s stance that Serbs in Kosovo were foreigners, just as he opposed any attempt to treat Kosovo as divided and fragmented,” said Kurti.

Kosovo’s Ambassador to Brussels, Agron Bajrami, stated that Dimiq was a Kosovar Serb who openly insisted that the Serbian state must apologize for the crimes it committed against Albanians and called on the Serbian intellectual elite to accept the defeat of Serbian nationalism in Kosovo.

“Before the declaration of independence, I met Radomir. If my memory does not fail me, he came to the Koha editorial office to bring some of his early writings. At that time, I was an editor, and for me, it was an unusual meeting. In front of me stood a determined Kosovar Serb who publicly defended the idea of coexistence between Serbs and the Albanian majority in a free, democratic, and European Kosovo. In front of me was a Kosovar Serb who openly insisted that the Serbian state must apologize for the crimes it committed against Albanians and called on the Serbian intellectual elite to accept the defeat of Serbian nationalism in Kosovo. He was a Kosovar Serb who supported a Kosovo that he knew would become independent,” said Bajrami.

Author Radomir Dimiq thanked the media outlets that published his writings, including the news agency Ekonomia Online. He said that this book is his biography against war and his civic duty to Kosovo.

“I thank the newspapers Koha Ditore, Info Pres, Ekonomia Online, Kosova Sot, and all those who contributed to publishing my writings. This book clarifies the space of freedom; it is my biography against war, my resistance, the truth, justice, solidarity, and the rejection of lies. This is my civic duty to Kosovo, and my gratitude to those who spread it during a sorrowful time, during the 90s under the criminal regime of dictator Slobodan Milošević,” said Dimiq.
