The newly signed military alliance between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia is a strong signal to Serbia and other states with territorial ambitions in the Balkans, according to retired Albanian General Esad Çollaku.
“This agreement sends a clear message to Belgrade and those with territorial claims on neighboring states. As we know, Serbia initiated wars in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo,” Çollaku told RTV Dukagjini.
He also expressed concerns about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, warning that the growing influence of the Serb List could have dangerous consequences for the region.
Serbia Reacts, Calls the Agreement a ‘Provocation’
The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the alliance, calling it a “provocation” and announcing plans to seek urgent clarifications from Albania and Croatia.
Belgrade argues that the trilateral military cooperation agreement threatens regional stability, stating: “We expect an immediate response from Zagreb and Tirana on the real intentions and ultimate goals of this dangerous military-security game. Serbia will not allow any unilateral action that endangers our territorial integrity, citizen security, or peace in the region.”
The military pact between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia marks a significant step in regional security cooperation, with potential geopolitical implications.
