Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger announced that she spoke by phone with her Kosovar counterpart, Donika Gërvalla, as well as with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Gjurić.
In a post on platform X, she shared that her conversation with Gërvalla focused on Kosovo’s perspective in the European Union.
Moreover, Meinl-Reisinger emphasized that all parties should engage in the dialogue process.
“Kosovo and Serbia need to engage constructively in the dialogue process and move forward towards normalizing their relations. This is the key when it comes to their path to the EU!” Meinl-Reisinger said.
In another post on platform X, she stated that with Gjurić, she also discussed Serbia’s support for the necessary reforms to join the EU.
“Kosovo and Serbia need to engage constructively in the dialogue and move forward towards normalizing their relations. This is the key when it comes to their path to the EU. I also emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and encouraging genuine dialogue to overcome divisions in society,” she wrote.
Meinl-Reisinger also met with the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Timco Mucunski, with whom she said she discussed the support provided following the fire that broke out on Sunday in Kočani.
