The Kosovo Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) has announced that starting today, and lasting until April 10, it will hold bilateral meetings with all interested parties who have submitted comments as part of the consultation process for electricity tariffs, reports Rks News.
In the official announcement, it is stated that each meeting will include a representative from the parties that provided comments, invited by ZRRE.
This process is expected to conclude on April 11, when ZRRE will provide official responses to the submitted comments.
So far, 396 citizens, eight civil society organizations, four businesses, four energy sector operators, one member of the Kosovo Assembly, the Ministry of Economy, and the Office of the President have submitted comments.
Notably, the Office of the President of Kosovo has been one of the most vocal opponents of the proposal to increase the electricity tariff by 15%.
In the comments submitted on the last day of the deadline, the Presidency has also proposed removing the 8% VAT from electricity bills as a way to alleviate the financial burden on citizens.
