President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, officially received the letters of credence from Montenegro’s new Ambassador to Kosovo, Bernard Çobaj, during a ceremony held today in Prishtina.

Welcoming the ambassador and wishing him success in his new post, President Osmani emphasized the importance of maintaining strong and friendly neighborly relations between Kosovo and Montenegro—relations built on mutual respect and cooperation.

“Montenegro has consistently supported Kosovo, particularly during crucial periods in our history,” Osmani stated, according to a press release from the Presidency. She underlined the need to deepen collaboration in areas of shared interest, including economic development, security, and Euro-Atlantic integration.

President Osmani expressed confidence that Ambassador Çobaj’s term will open new opportunities for bilateral cooperation and strengthen the ties between the two countries.

“Kosovo’s institutions remain committed to advancing relations with Montenegro in the spirit of good neighborliness, regional stability, and shared European aspirations,” she concluded.
