The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has proposed Academician Kujtim Shala for the position of Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, and Dr. Hykmete Bajrami as the new head of LDK’s parliamentary group.
Abdixhiku made the announcement through a public statement, confirming that the proposal received full backing from both the Parliamentary Group and the Presidency of the LDK.
“Today, before the party’s decision-making structures, I proposed Academician Kujtim Shala for Deputy Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, and Dr. Hykmete Bajrami as the leader of our Parliamentary Group,” Abdixhiku wrote.
“The proposal is supported by both our Parliamentary Group and the LDK Presidency. Both nominations will now be formally decided and submitted by our group. I wish them success in this noble duty for our political home, our voters, and the people of Kosovo.”
The move signals a new leadership phase within LDK as the party continues to reposition itself in Kosovo’s evolving political landscape.
