The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has confirmed it will take part in Thursday’s continuation of the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo, scheduled for 12:00 PM.
The confirmation came from AAK spokesperson Kushtrim Xhemajli, who stated simply: “Yes,” when asked whether the party’s five MPs would attend.
With this, all major opposition parties – PDK, LDK, and AAK – have now confirmed their participation in tomorrow’s session, following its suspension due to a failure to verify parliamentary mandates.
Meanwhile, Vetëvendosje’s spokesperson Arlind Manxhuka said that once an official invitation is received from the acting Speaker Avni Dehari, the party will respond “in accordance with order and rules.”
“As soon as we receive the invitation from the presiding officer, we will respond accordingly,” said Manxhuka to Gazeta Express.
The Assembly Secretariat earlier confirmed that the session will resume Thursday at noon, in compliance with the 48-hour constitutional requirement following the interruption.
This comes amid ongoing tension over whether outgoing government officials, including Prime Minister Albin Kurti, have formally resigned before attempting to assume their new roles as MPs — a condition opposition parties maintain is non-negotiable.
As all sides prepare for what may be a pivotal session, Kosovo’s political future hangs in the balance, with public expectations high for a swift resolution to the post-election deadlock.
