President Vjosa Osmani met with the leader of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), Ali Ahmeti, on Tuesday to discuss the political situation in North Macedonia and the broader region.
Osmani emphasized that Albanians in North Macedonia are a vital factor in the stability and European integration of the country. She warned that any attempt to violate the Ohrid Agreement, which guarantees the rights of Albanians in the country, must be met with firm resistance by all Albanians in North Macedonia as well as the entire Albanian political establishment in the region.
She reiterated Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with all forces dedicated to peace, stability, and the Euro-Atlantic future of the region.
The two leaders also discussed the current political developments in Kosovo and the region, with a focus on the importance of enhancing cooperation between Kosovo’s institutions and the political representatives of Albanians in North Macedonia.
