The private vehicle of the acting director of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK), Osman Hajdari, exploded today in the QKUK parking lot, Reporteri.net reports.
The Kosovo Hospital and University Clinical Service (SHSKUK) confirmed the incident, stating that the police have been notified.
According to the official announcement, the explosion occurred just as the SHSKUK Board meeting was about to begin, and the circumstances remain unclear.
“Today, in the administration parking lot of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK), an incident occurred involving the damage of the private car belonging to the acting director of QKUK. The vehicle was parked in the administration area, and the damage happened under still unknown circumstances, during the preparations for the regular meeting of the Board of the Kosovo Hospital and University Clinical Service (SHSKUK),” the statement said.
The authorities, including the Kosovo Police, have launched an investigation into the cause of the explosion. SHSKUK expressed concern and regret over the incident and emphasized their full cooperation with law enforcement.
No injuries were reported, but the explosion caused material damage to the vehicle.
