Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, gave a brief response today regarding the letter sent by his party, Vetëvendosje, to the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), proposing a potential political coalition.

During a visit to Gjilan, where he laid the foundation stone for a new affordable housing project, Kurti was asked by reporters whether he expects a positive response from LDK. He sidestepped the question, saying:

“Those are matters for Prishtina, here we’re talking about housing.”

When asked whether the opposition is deliberately delaying the constitution of the Assembly out of fear that Vetëvendosje might form the next government, Kurti responded humorously:

“It’s not easy to analyze the opposition’s fears—that’s a job for analysts. I’m the Prime Minister, so we continue forward—or continue forward.”

The constitution of the Assembly has failed 11 times in a row. The next session is scheduled for tomorrow.
