As part of the important developments taking place today in Tirana, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has welcomed NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the Prime Minister’s Office, reports Gazeta Sinjali.
In a Facebook post, Rama shared images from the meeting, stating that the discussions focused on further strengthening Albania’s role within the North Atlantic Alliance, regional security challenges, and Albania’s active contribution to NATO.
“Prime Minister’s Office – A pleasure to welcome NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, with whom we discussed the further strengthening of Albania’s role in the Alliance, regional security challenges, and our active contribution to NATO,” Rama wrote.
The meeting coincides with the European Political Community Summit being held today in Tirana, where leaders from across Europe have gathered to discuss key issues concerning the continent’s future.
