Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti today welcomed the newly appointed Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Maurizio Antonini, for a meeting.
During their initial discussion, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated Ambassador Antonini on his new role and expressed his deep appreciation for Italy’s ongoing support for Kosovo.
According to the Italian Embassy in Kosovo, Ambassador Antonini and Prime Minister Kurti engaged in talks focusing on ways to further strengthen the already strong partnership between the two nations. The discussion also touched upon the current situation and opportunities for enhanced collaboration.
“Ambassador Antonini met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who welcomed him to his new role and expressed gratitude for Italy’s continued support for Kosovo, particularly through KFOR. They discussed the current situation and ways to further strengthen an already excellent partnership,” the Italian Embassy stated.
Prime Minister Kurti also highlighted the robust partnership between Kosovo and Italy, particularly acknowledging Italy’s significant contribution to peace and security through its participation in the NATO KFOR mission. The leaders explored avenues for deepening bilateral cooperation, with a focus on areas such as the economy, security and defense, and cultural exchanges.
Prime Minister Kurti conveyed his gratitude for Italy’s steadfast support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations. The meeting underscored the commitment of both Kosovo and Italy to further enhance their collaborative relationship.
