Kosovo Police carried out an operation today at the Red Cross facility near Lake Ujman, located in the municipality of Zubin Potok. The action has been confirmed by Veton Elshani, the Deputy Commander of the Kosovo Police for the northern region.
Elshani told Indeksonline that the police were only assisting the public enterprise “Ibër-Lepenci”, which had requested access to the building.
“The operation has concluded. Everything went well. We only provided assistance at the request of the ‘Ibër-Lepenci’ enterprise,” Elshani stated briefly.
Unofficially, the building had been used by parallel structures, and today’s action is seen as part of ongoing efforts by Kosovar institutions to reestablish constitutional order and rule of law in the north of the country.
