Arben Gashi, deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), said it is the responsibility of the leader of Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, to form the parliamentary majority for electing the Speaker of the Assembly and to form the government.
Entering the Assembly building for the continuation of the 19th constitutive session, he stated that it is not the role of LDK to create a majority for the first party to form new institutions after the February 9 elections.
“Mr. Kurti has won a constitutional right by being first in the elections. The right is to propose the Speaker of the Assembly and to form the government. This right is exclusively his, and also to be the first to propose the government. It remains his responsibility to make the majority, as we are not here to make the majority,” he said.
