The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has extended his congratulations to Israel on the occasion of its Independence Day.

Haradinaj attended a reception organized by the Israeli Embassy in Kosovo to mark the celebration. In a Facebook post, he noted that the day is not only a celebration of friendship between the two peoples, but also of the new visa-free travel agreement enabling Kosovars to visit Israel without a visa.

Full statement:

“Israel’s recognition of Kosovo came at a decisive moment for strengthening the international subjectivity of our country, marking an important step in advancing the relations between our two states.

Today, on the Independence Day of the State of Israel, we celebrate not only the friendship between our two peoples, but also a new achievement — the removal of visa requirements for Kosovo citizens, an act that confirms our ever-closer and excellent relations.

Happy Independence Day, Israel!”
