PDK MP Vlora Çitaku has reiterated that forming a parliamentary majority is the responsibility of Vetëvendosje’s leader, Albin Kurti, and not the duty of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
She emphasized that her party is under no obligation to support Vetëvendosje’s proposed candidate for Assembly Speaker, especially since the ruling party does not have the necessary majority in parliament.
“There are 40 names at Kurti’s disposal. We have no obligation to vote. Securing a majority is Kurti’s task. Since he doesn’t have it, we’ve offered our own options now Kurti must reflect,” said Çitaku.
Çitaku has repeatedly accused Kurti of holding Kosovo hostage through the ongoing institutional blockade in the Assembly.
