Ukrainian fighter jets have struck a base belonging to the Russian secret service FSB in the Belgorod region, killing several FSB officers.
The Telegram channel “Soniashnyk”, which has close ties to the Ukrainian Air Force, reported that the attack was carried out using MiG-29 jets equipped with French AASM Hammer precision bombs.
Even OSINT analysts confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the targeted location was being used by the FSB.
This strike marks a further escalation in the war initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in February 2022.
While Ukrainian forces have previously targeted military bases within Russian territory such as ammunition depots and logistics hubs the Glotob strike appears to be the first known attack directly connected to an FSB facility.
