KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, visited today the multinational BENELUX (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) contingent stationed at the Camp in Novo Selo.
This was announced in a statement by the NATO Mission in Kosovo.
“The contingent, assigned to the KFOR Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Battalion, provides valuable UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) capabilities that contribute to maintaining updated situational awareness for the KFOR Mission Commander,” the statement reads.
During his visit, Barduani expressed his gratitude to the soldiers of the multinational contingent recently deployed to Kosovo for their valuable contribution and dedication to ensuring a safe environment.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 — to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, as well as freedom of movement at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), each fulfilling their respective roles as security responders.
