Albania’s Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, has announced that the Council of Ministers has approved the conditions for launching the production of military equipment and civil emergency tools in service of the Armed Forces and national security, reports Rks News.
In a Facebook post, Vengu emphasized the strategic importance of this decision.
“We take another important step toward the revival of Albania’s military industry as a modern and reliable actor in service of the Armed Forces, Civil Defense, and national security.”
According to the Minister, the production will be carried out through the establishment of a joint company between the state-owned military production enterprise “KAYO” sh.a and private partners, paving the way for the development of a modern and sustainable infrastructure in this sector.
