Former Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Paskal Milo, has underscored the historical significance of Albania’s contribution to Kosovo, describing this period as one of the brightest moments in national diplomacy.

Milo highlighted that 1912 marks the greatest diplomatic contribution any Albanian government has given to the Albanian nation. He emphasized that the diplomacy and Albanian government of that era wrote a brilliant chapter in Albania’s modern history.

Historical Injustice and Corrective Action

Milo also pointed to the historical injustice of the London Conference, which left Kosovo outside Albania’s borders, adding that this injustice was finally being corrected. “The contribution of the Albanian government at that time was extraordinary,” he declared.

He noted that Albania managed to forge a strong and reliable partnership with the USA and NATO countries, thanks to the efficient decision-making of all Albanian state structures. “At that time, we were an active part of the decision-making,” he added.

Kosovo as a Unifying Force

One of the key points emphasized by Paskal Milo was that the “issue of Kosovo unified the Albanian factor.” This national unity played a crucial role in addressing the Kosovo issue on the international stage and in strengthening Albania’s position as a reliable partner.

Milo’s historical overview offers a deep understanding of the importance of unity and diplomacy during critical moments in Albania’s national history.
