Eighty-two years ago, one of the most distinguished figures of the Albanian nation, Ukshin Hoti, was born yet his fate remains unknown since the war in Kosovo during 1998–1999.
Andin Hoti, the son of Ukshin Hoti, expressed today that he feels deep emotion, longing, and pride for his father.
Speaking to RTK, Hoti said that on May 16, 1999, Serbian criminals forcibly disappeared his father.
“We must remind Serbia of the crimes it committed and, of course, demand to know his fate. The fate of Ukshin Hoti remains unknown. He is disappeared, but his works will guide generations to come for our nation and our state,” emphasized Hoti.
He also noted that Ukshin Hoti dedicated his entire life to this country, its people, and the Albanian nation, even refusing an opportunity to work at the White House in the United States in order to serve his homeland.
