The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) welcomed 350 new military recruits today, marking the second generation for 2025. At the swearing-in ceremony held at the “Bill Clinton” sports hall in Ferizaj, state representatives declared that Kosovo’s soldiers are invincible and its sovereignty and territorial integrity untouchable. Despite high temperatures, families of the recruits were present to witness the ceremony.

Kurti Highlights KSF’s Growth and Capabilities

Caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that the Kosovo Army is rapidly developing into a professional, multi-ethnic force with full capacities. Kurti emphasized that the KSF is supplied “more than ever before” with military arsenal and modern weaponry systems. He added that the first state-owned ammunition production factory is expected to be built within two years.

Addressing the new recruits, Kurti affirmed they have “mastered the foundations of the art of war.” He asserted that, professionally and logistically prepared, Kosovo’s soldiers are “undefeated and invincible,” while the state’s sovereignty is “untouchable” and territorial integrity “inviolable.”

“While the world faces various threats, our state has deepened cooperation with our strategic allies and partners… Facing the enemy or any threat to peace or security, it is no longer the Kosovo of the past, but the Kosovo Army with many young men and women who, like you, proudly wear the uniform with the fearless eagle symbol on their arms. Professionally and logistically prepared, our soldiers are undefeated and invincible, while the state’s sovereignty is inviolable and territorial integrity unassailable,” he stated.

Commitment to Peace and Defense

Jeton Dreshaj, Commander of Doctrine and Training, stated that the new recruits will now serve in preserving the country’s peace and territorial integrity. He commended the soldiers for successfully completing their basic training with dedication and discipline.

New KSF recruit Erion Musliu cited the country’s past as his motivation for joining the army. Soldier Rina Doroci from Mitrovica expressed that the training period was highly motivating, pushing her not to give up. Brahim Koca, son of war veteran Vesel Koca, also took the oath today, with his father expressing pride that his son continued the path of defending the homeland.

During the certification ceremony for the new KSF recruits, commendations were also awarded to distinguished recruits, instructors, and lieutenants. In March, the first generation of 2025, comprising 344 recruits, also took their oath as soldiers.
