These Are All the Decisions Taken Today by the Caretaker Government of Kosovo

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that during the 263rd meeting of the caretaker government, a total of 13 important decisions were approved, including funding allocations for development projects and financial support across several key sectors.

🔹 1. 4 Million Euros for the Green Card Insurance for the Diaspora
One of the central decisions was to allocate €4 million to cover the “green card” insurance for Kosovars living abroad who plan to visit during the summer season. This aims to facilitate easier entry and support diaspora engagement with the homeland.

🔹 2. €626,400 for Albanians in the Presheva Valley
A sum of €626,400 was approved to support education and institutional lobbying for Albanians in Preshevë, Medvegjë, and Bujanoc. The funding will go towards:

Scholarships for students

Support for schoolchildren

Financing advocacy and international lobbying efforts to advance the rights of Albanians in these regions.

🔹 3. Loan Approval for INFRAKOS
Approval was given for a loan of up to €10 million for INFRAKOS Sh.A. This will help cover liquidity obligations and continue the rehabilitation of railway line 10.

🔹 4. €50,000 Reallocated for Public Lighting
Reallocation of €50,000 was approved for public lighting projects in the villages of Nakell and Gorazhdec in the municipality of Peja.

🔹 5. Interministerial Committee on Health
The government established the Interministerial Committee for Human, Animal, and Environmental Health, titled “One Health”.

🔹 6. Expropriation in Hani i Elezit
Approval was given for the expropriation of former socially-owned immovable properties in the municipality of Hani i Elezit, to implement key infrastructure projects, including:

Reconstruction of the football field

Ownership regulation for the Water Factory

Construction of a Center for Culture and Youth

Expansion of the road near the Customs Terminal

These decisions reflect the caretaker government’s focus on diaspora support, ethnic Albanian rights abroad, infrastructure investment, and institutional development.
