The member of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Besnik Tahiri, stated that the meeting called for tomorrow by Albin Kurti is an important opportunity to overcome the institutional deadlock and to pave the way for the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo.
Tahiri emphasized that the meeting should not turn into just another “media event,” but rather a serious effort to find a solution.
“Tomorrow’s meeting should not become another media event just to go through the motions of political consultation, but a serious effort to find solutions and to emerge from this ‘dark shadow’ that has engulfed parliamentary life,” Tahiri said.
He mentioned that the Constitutional Court’s ruling set a 30-day deadline for the Assembly to be constituted, and therefore, political clarity must begin tomorrow.
Tahiri also criticized the current atmosphere, shaped by a “mentality of mistrust and disorder,” which, according to him, is an environment in which Kurti operates well.
“Under no circumstances should tomorrow be just a formal ‘party consultation’ exercise before the Assembly heads into the summer recess,” he added.
All Albanian opposition parties have confirmed their participation in the meeting called by Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti, scheduled for tomorrow at 4:00 PM.
