As part of the Western Balkans leaders’ meeting for the EU Growth Plan held in Skopje, Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti held a bilateral meeting with North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
Kurti congratulated Mickoski on successfully organizing the summit and thanked him for the hospitality, emphasizing the importance of continuing cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
“The two prime ministers discussed bilateral relations, the implementation of agreements reached in previous joint government sessions, and explored new avenues for cooperation — particularly the operationalization of two joint border crossing points,” the Kosovo Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.
Kurti and Mickoski also addressed the EU integration process and the significance of the EU’s Growth Plan, which is expected to accelerate reforms and bring Western Balkan countries closer to the EU, a shared strategic goal for both Kosovo and North Macedonia.
