Albanian and Austrian troops from the Multinational Operational Reserve Force (ORF) have completed their deployment to Kosovo, officially taking over from the outgoing Bulgarian and Greek units as part of NATO’s KFOR mission.

In a statement released via Facebook, KFOR emphasized that the Operational Reserve Force enhances the operational capabilities and readiness of KFOR for any potential scenario. Troop rotations are essential to keeping soldiers focused and well-trained.

“The Operational Reserve Force (ORF) strengthens KFOR’s operational capabilities and readiness for any potential scenario. The rotation of troops helps ensure that they remain focused and well-trained to fulfill KFOR’s long-term UN-mandated mission, based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999,” the statement reads.

This latest troop rotation underscores NATO’s continued commitment to stability and security in Kosovo and the region.
